Dr. Mark Harrison is from the UK and has been in Hong Kong for more than twenty years. A graduate of Oxford University, he has extensive experience of teaching, school counselling, and university and careers guidance, and has held several positions of senior leadership at international schools.
Dr Harrison is a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and a registered clinical supervisor registered with the Asian Professional Counselling and Psychology Association (APCPA). He holds a doctorate with a specialisation in developmental and educational psychology. He is trained in several different counselling modalities and has extensive experience of working with teenagers, parents and families. He facilitates parenting workshops in addition to providing individual, couples and family counselling for a wide range of issues. Dr Harrison is also an active researcher in the field of school counselling and has published articles in a range of international peer reviewed journals. He is the author of two books, ‘School Counselling in an Asian Cultural Context’ and ‘School Counselling in East and Southeast Asia.’
