Master of Counselling
Carina has Master’s degrees in Industrial Economics and in Counselling, which are both under social sciences dealing with human behaviour. She has extensive experience in counselling English-speaking and Ethnic Minority youth and adults concerning issues on relationships, trauma, abuse, depression, anxiety, grief, anger management, transition and self- esteem. Her counselling approach includes Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Positive Psychology, and Person-Centred Approach. She counsels both in English and Filipino Languages.
Prior to moving to Hong Kong, Carina worked as a research analyst and a professor of Economics in the Philippines. Her teaching experience made her realise her enthusiasm and passion in getting involved with the mental health and well-being of the youth and young adults.
In Hong Kong, Carina aims to provide a safe space for her clients to empower them in coping with their issues and to bring out better versions of themselves.
Carina conducts counselling sessions in English and Tagalog.
