Bart Loodts

Bart’s approach to counselling is profoundly shaped by his varied life experiences. Having previously held leadership roles in high-performance, multicultural environments, he has also dedicated many years to an intensive meditation practice. This unique background enables him to weave elements of empathy, mindfulness, and self-compassion into his counselling style.

Bart is well-versed in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and incorporates aspects of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Emotions-Focused Therapy (EFT) into his work. He employs the principles of person-centred therapy, creating a supportive and empathetic space for clients to express their genuine thoughts and feelings. What distinguishes Bart is his honesty and authenticity, which foster a trusting relationship with those he works with. With a sincere curiosity, he encourages clients to explore the underlying causes of their challenges, facilitating a transformation in their ability to navigate life’s difficulties and rediscover their inherent capacity to thrive.

Bart has successfully supported clients dealing with depression, anxiety, chronic pain, general or post-traumatic stress, as well as issues related to work and relationships.

Originally from Europe and having lived in Asia for over two decades, he possesses a rich understanding of both Western and Asian cultures. His affirmative practice with LGBTQ+ individuals further highlights his commitment to inclusivity and respect for all clients, regardless of their background or identity.

Bart conducts therapy in English and is conversational in French, Dutch, German, and Spanish.
